Open All Hours is back after 28 years. Albert Arkwright is gone but not at all forgotten, and the shop carries on under the watchful eye of Granville (Sir David Jason). Following an extremely successful Christmas Special shown on BBC ONE on Boxing Day, a six part series of the classic sitcom Open All Hours is back!
David Jason reprises his role of Granville who has inherited the back water grocery store from his uncle Albert Arkwright, previously played by Ronnie Barker. He’s joined by his son Leroy, a good-looking lad with more admirers than Granville himself ever had. It’s hoped that some of the customers from the original series, and from the pilot will also return for this run. Lynda Baron, Stephanie Cole and Maggie Ollerenshaw as nurse Gladys Emmanuel, Mrs Featherstone and Mavis respectively, but there ill also be a host of new customers to the shop.
