Augusta Masters 2013
11,99 €
Relive the drama and emotion of perhaps the most famous tournament in golf.
In 2013, after coming close on numerous occasions, the country of Australia was finally able to secure the famous Green Jacket and bring the curtain down on one of the most dramatic Tournaments in memory. When the Adelaidian Adam Scott birdied the second playoff hole - scene of Bubba Watson's incredible iron shot to clinch victory 12 months before - to defeat Angel Cabrera, he ended his personal wait for a major championship and cemented his place in history as the first Australian to win the Masters.
The fourth round was all about the surge of the Australians as Scott, Marc Leishman and Jason Day all chased an historic victory, pursued by 43-year-old Argentine Angel Cabrera, already the owner of one Green Jacket after success in 2009. When the 32-year-old Scott sensationally birdied the par-4 18th, victory looked assured, but Cabrera responded with a stunning iron shot to within three feet of the hole to make birdie and force a sudden-death playoff for the second consecutive year. Scott needed a further two holes to end Australia's long wait; after Cabrera missed his birdie chance by the narrowest of margins at the par-4 10th, Scott secured the 77th Masters thanks to a birdie from 10-feet.
